VISUAL REINFORCEMENT AUDIOMETRY (VRA)

VRA is a test that allows an audiologist to assess infants and toddlers who are too young for normal tests (6 months to 2-3 years old).  VRA uses a machine called an Audiometer to check a child’s hearing.  VRA uses ear phones or sound field speakers to understand more about the child’s hearing.

Animations or lighted toys are placed around the child at certain angles to train the child to look in the direction of the sound.

If you would like to know more about VRA, please contact Olwyn and the team for more information.
