Mrs. Olwyn Morris, BSc, MSc, CCC, IAA, ISHAA (Psychology Graduate, Clinical Audiologist, Lecturer, Published Scientist, Specialist in Adult and Paediatric Diagnostics, Hearing Aids, Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia Rehabilitation).
Olwyn’s audiology journey began during her psychology degree in 2007 when she completed a psycho physics audiology research project under Professor Bernhard Seeber at the MRC institute of hearing research at the University of Nottingham. Bernhard investigates sound processing in the human ear and uses his insights to make improvements to hearing aids and audio systems. This ignited Olwyn’s passion for audiology.
Olwyn received her BSc in Psychology from the University of Nottingham and her MSc in Audiology from the University of Southampton. Olwyn has extensive experience in both diagnostic hearing assessments and rehabilitation. She has both public and private experience working at Royal Berkshire hospital and Charing Cross hospital in the NHS in the UK and as a Senior Audiologist in the HSE in Dublin, Ireland. Olwyn has trained the UCC Masters clinical audiology students in adult and paediatric audiology for the past 6 years. Olwyn has given lectures in audiology at the University of Nottingham. Olwyn has over 14 years experience fitting hearing aids from young babies to the elderly. She has worked with nearly every hearing aid manufacturer including bone anchored hearing aids, surgical and non surgical. Olwyn has worked as part of a multidisciplinary team working with Speech and language therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Visiting teachers, Paediatricians and Bone anchored hearing aid and Cochlear implant surgeons. Olwyn works with some of the top ENT Consultant Surgeons in Ireland.
Olwyn’s biggest achievement was setting up and running charity hearing clinics in Peru where over 200 hearing aids were fitted to people with limited economic resources. Photos of Olwyn’s Peru project are below including a certificate of recognition for her charitable work, presented to her from the Peruvian government. Olwyn provides an expert led, holistic, patient centred service with state of the art audiological equipment and hearing aids.
Mrs. Pokam (Poren) Kwong, MSc, MBA, IAA, ISHAA, (Clinical Scientist) Audiologist, Lecturer, Specialist in Adult and Paediatric Diagnostics, Hearing Aids, Auditory Processing Disorder.
Poren’s clinical audiology journey began 17 years ago. She received her MSc from Queensland, Australia. Poren has both public and private experience working as a Clinical Audiologist in the NHS in London and privately at Kinale Hearing in Cork.
Poren worked at the Royal National Throat Nose Ear Hospital (RNTNEH) in London U.K. for the past 12 years, prior to her relocation to Cork in 2020. She is highly specialised in both diagnostic hearing assessments and rehabilitative procedures for children from new-born up to 20 years of age. Poren worked in a multidisciplinary team comprising of Speech & Language Therapists, Teachers for the Deaf, Clinical Psychologists, ENT Surgeons, Paediatricians and the local Cochlear Implant team. She has a vast and deep understanding of the multidisciplinary approach towards children’s hearing behaviour and hearing development.
Prior to joining the Medico Audiology, Poren ran a paediatric audiology clinic in Kinsale. Poren also gives lectures to the MSc (Audiology) students at University College Cork (UCC).

Her journey began at the University at Buffalo, culminating in a doctorate in Audiology from the University of Oklahoma. It was there that she assisted in launching the John Keys Tinnitus Clinic, sparking her fervor for tinnitus management.
Her commitment to improving lives extended beyond borders through Project Yucatán, collaborating with AYPRODA to enhance the quality of life for children with deafness on the Yucatán peninsula.
Since earning her Doctorate in 2016, Kaitlyn has enriched diverse communities in New York with her specialized expertise in diagnostics, hearing aids, and innovative tinnitus solutions for patients spanning from infancy to geriatrics. Her drive to solve the “unsolvable” challenges for her patients remains at the heart of her practice, ensuring everyone can relish the beauty of sound.
